S5. COLUMN / SHEATH WEDDING DRESSES.

Defined by a slim outline, following the natural curves of the body.

Some have a waist seam but generally they are sheath dresses. They are often bias-cut, which allows the fabric to flow around the body and can be very flattering for the right body shape.

These style work particularly well for slender, tall brides, and inverted triangle body shapes but not for triangle and fuller body shape especially if the cut is on the bias.

Column dresses have a very sleek modern look and can be elegant and sophisticated!

The important to remember column / sheath dress hides nothing - it follows the body contours, wherever they are!
